SPARTANBURG, S.C. -- Wofford punter Chris Tommie today was named the
Southern Conference Freshman of the Week for
his performance against
West Virginia University on Saturday, Sept. 10. Tommie averaged 44.3
yards on six punts
against the Mountaineers and also was outstanding on
kickoffs.
Four of Tommie's six punts went for at least 50 yards.
He had punts of
50, 52, 56 and a career-long 60-yarder against the Mountaineers.
